Samson Gardner, age 24, of Lame Deer

November 21, 1997 – November 24, 2021

Samson Jay Gardner, age 24, of Lame Deer, MT. Was born on February 21, 1997 to Stuart Gardner and Roxane Hill at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, South Dakota. He went to be with our Lord November 24, 2021. Samsons biblical name means “Sunshine” which was given to him by his father. His Cheyenne name “Ho ‘ efta oha a ‘ est” which means “Rising Fire” He is a Fort Robinson and Sand Creek survivor descendant. Samson comes from “ O evemanaho” (Scabby people) and from his mother who raised him Tanya Dawn Plainfeather, the Piegan clan. Samson was the 3rd son of 5 siblings and gained 6 more brothers and sisters.
His brothers: Kirk Hill, Isaiah and Micah Gardner, Tristen David, Daniel Scott, and Triston Hill
His sisters: Kerstyn OldBull, Jennifer (Joey) Redthunder, Tianna Plainfeather, Randalynn David, Sevennah and Crystal Hill, and Michala Gardner.
Samson was a high school graduate of Sherman Indian high school in Riverside, California. Samson played basketball his senior year. He made tons of friends and was well known for his humor and outgoing personality. Samson also participated and finished in Junior Police Academy for the Crow Tribe. He had many achievements and accomplishments.
Despite his struggles, he always worked to better himself and thrived for success. Samson was an intelligent young man who looked forward to attend college to become a dentist. His hobbies included playing video games, listening to music, and making people laugh. He loved spending time with family and friends along with working out. Samson was well known for his charm, kindness, and love for nature. He constantly brought joy to everyone he met and everywhere we went.
Samson is survived by his parents, Stuart and Tanya Gardner. His grandmothers, Evelyn Gardner and Lois Stevens, His grandpa Woodrow Plainfeather. His aunties, Wilma (Albert) LaRance, Ingrid and Lucy Gardner, Sparrow (Richard) Sausedo, Leslie and Rolanda Plainfeather, Suzanne Iron. His uncles, Clifton (Valerie) FallsDown. Gary (Jolene) Birdinground. His cousins, Benjamin Bighorn, Loren (Alison) Bighorn, Jerae and Elishah LaRance, and Isaac Gardner, LaDawn Plainfeather, LaTasha, Lily, and Lela Stops, Veronica and Isabelle Gibson, Martin (Tayla) Stops, Dusty Plainfeather. Nieces and nephews Hayden, Madison, Nahshon, Wesley, Ben Jr., Keoni, Kyrie, Amanda Bighorn, and LaRaya Whiteman, Grand-nephews Amari Rae and KaiZyn Bighorn. Special relatives Monty (Minnie) Larson, Woodrow Blackwolf, Bill (Linnette) Silvernail, and friends at Mountain Ministries.
Samson is proceeded in death by his grandpa William Gardner Sr., His grandmother, Henrietta PrettyOnTop, His uncles Troy and William Gardner Jr., aunties Agatha Stanton, Philomena, Ava, and Delores Gardner.
He is related to the Stantons, Kings, Plainfeathers, Mexican Cheyenne, Little Birds, Prettyontop, Stevens, Schinderline, Bigfoots, Beards,
