Sandra Kay Peanut Nelson

Funeral Service: Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan

Interment: will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan

Sandra Kay Peanut Nelson, age 51, of Spokane, Washington, formerly of Jordan passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 in Spokane.

Sandra was born on July 17, 1954 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the daughter of Norval Bud and Mary Millie (Zier) Nelson. Sandra attended school in Jordan where she graduated from Garfield County High School in 1974. Following her schooling, she moved to Billings, Montana where she worked as a bartender at the Broken Drum Club for several years. In the early 1980s, she moved to Spokane, Washington where she was bar manager at the VFW Club. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Moose Lodge as bar manager. Only being 410, years ago Sandra was given the nickname Peanut, most of her friends and customers only knew her by that name.

Peanut enjoyed people and she had many friends and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed her trips back to Montana to visit family, friends and classmates.

Sandra is survived by her father, Norval Bud Nelson of Roundup, MT; two brothers: Rocky (Sharon) Nelson of Jordan, MT; and Bantam (Barb) Nelson of Rapid City, SD; a sister, June Nelson (Curtis Fillafer) of Miles City, MT; her life long companion, Mike Boykin of Spokane, WA; two nieces: Alica and Erica Nelson of Great Falls, MT; and a nephew, Niko Nelson of Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Millie Nelson and an infant son, Kelly Dean Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan. Condolences may be made to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
