Sayra Alise Mahto passed away April 27, 2004 at the age of 24 years, 7 months, and 27 days. Sayra was born on September 4, 1979 in Aberdeen, SD to Sandra Mahto Stracener.

An endless amount of people knew Sayra and all who knew her loved everything about her. Sayra always had a way of attracting people to her and it was due to her love for everyone and everything around her. She will be remembered for her smile and laughter, love of pow-wows and her free spirit. Sayra was a giving young lady, never asking anything in return. She was the type of person who lived life to its fullest. Everyday that went by was simply another day that Sayra was allowed to touch another persons heart. Sayra was very involved with church and family and she always made time to attend family events. Sayra always made it a number one priority to attend her brother or sisters games whether it be a basketball or softball game. She was always in the stand or bleachers yelling her heart out and making sure everyone know how proud she was of her brother or sister. Sayra was a blessing to all who had the opportunity of getting to know her.

She attended Wolf Point Schools and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1998. At the time of her death, she was working at the Pizza Place as a waitress and at the Faith Lutheran Home. She also worked at the Poplar Hospital and Nursing Home.Though Sayras life was short, she was able to touch so many lives. Sayra will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her kind and loving heart will never be forgotten. Sayra was always loved, is loved, and will remain loved forever.

She is survived by her parents Tom and Sandy Stracener; sisters, Danielle, Muriel, Julianna, and Kaitlynn and brother Orrin; 2 sisters Lean Ann and Adrienne Ashley in Lincoln, NE, and many cousins, aunts and uncles; grandpa Bill Stracener of Big Sandy, TX; grandmother Elvira Mahto of Wolf Point; and her numerous friends.
