Private family interment: will follow at a later date at the family ranch near Circle
Scott Clarence Mendenhall, age 21, of Circle passed away on February 20, 2009 in Circle, MT.
Scott was born on March 19, 1987 in Terry, MT to Rose Ann and Glenn Mendenhall. He grew up on the family ranch west of Terry. Scott played football for Terry High School and performed in several school plays. In 2005, Scott graduated from Terry High School. After graduation, he had jobs in Miles City, Circle & Gillette, WY. Scott was smart and witty and excelled in disarming his family and friends with his caustic sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and shooting for sport. Scott loved the ranch and had a talent for building things from the ground up. He also enjoyed toying with ham radios.
Scott is survived by his fiance Trish Battaglia of Circle and her children Andrew and Mary, his parents Rose Ann Mendenhall of Miles City and Glenn Mendenhall of Circle, MT, grandmothers Catherine Whitney of Miles City and Edna Mendenhall of Miles City, his sister; Susan Putnam of Laramie, WY, brothers; Chuck Mendenhall of Page, AZ, Greg (Theresa) Mendenhall of Lambert, MT and Tim (Echo) Mendenhall of Sheridan, WY, his aunts and uncles Ella Gran, Marg & Don Pontius, Hugh Neumann, Dave Whitney, Pat and Mike Mahan, Sister Abbie Kennedy and Lester Whitney and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Historical Society in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
