Sean Douglas Fields, 52, living in Williams, Oregon passed away from Covid at the Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Oregon
Charging Hawk “Ae’no’hea’eotse”, was born December 2nd, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska. A son to Maxine “Pudgie” Kingfisher and Charles Fields. He grew up in Busby Montana. Received his education in Busby, St. Labre and Flandreau high school graduating in 1989
He Married Jennifer Markman and had son and a daughter, Terrance Shayne Fields and Tashina Katya Aliyah Fields.
Dougie, as he was called growing up, grew up on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. As he grew up he lived off the reservation mainly in the Pacific Northwest.
Sean was a man of many talents. He was a gifted artist. He was a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and a dedicated member of the Native American Church. As a Roadman he followed the medicine and took care of the people however it was needed. It was always the people that gave him the strength. This is where he felt most useful.
He was a Member of the Dog Soldier Society and and Sundancer starting at a young age.
Sean was human and imperfect. He lived life on his own terms. No matter where he found himself he always returned to prayer
Sean is many things. He was a good friend, helpful nephew, loving brother and father. He was kind, compassionate, strong, understanding, real, thoughtful, humble man. His mind was deep, always in thought. Always thinking of the best words to encourage someone along. He deeply understood that we are all temporary but one day Ma’heo’o will bring us home to the ones we miss. His mind was eccentric, beautiful, vast and wide.
His heart was big. Gifting different ones with the last items he had. Sharing loving, kind words. Holding space for those who felt lost. He love his children deeply. Always holding them in a special place in his heart. He didn’t have much but he gave us a lot. He didn’t think of himself but thought lots of other people.
Little did he know he left us with so much love ……
Sean blessed us with beautiful words, songs, prayers and laughter and will forever continue to do so.
