In Memory Of

Serena Littlebird, age 57, of Lame Deer

August 11, 1963 – September 1, 2020

Serena Littlebird was born to Harry and Annie Joyce Littlebird Sr. in Crow Agency, MT on August 11, 1963.  Serena was one of 12 children, they extended this family by adopting 3 more boys making it a total of 15, Serena was very blessed to be part of a large family which consisted of seven sisters and eight brothers. Serena started her educational journey with the placement program with Church of Jesus of Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Bonners ferry, ID where she graduated. After graduating Serena met Gerard John James and started her family.  Out of this union she had two sons Kevin (Kristin, Evan, Emma, Jaxxon, and Linken) and Bryan (Brandy, Zivanna, Nizhoni, Phoebe, Daniel) James, than later on in her life she met Abraham Estell, Serena and Abe spent many years together, through this union they continued to grow the family having one son, Charlie and four daughters, Jacquelynn (Danny, Willis Jr, Collins, and Julio), Pamela (Abraham, Loretta, Benito, Keanu, Georgio, and Ginger Lynn, Mildred (Jeremiah, Bullvie, Jesus, Baby Serena, Raymond, and Gloria), and Samantha (Austin, Vice, Lilo, and Django). Later on in life Serena met Trinidad Quiroz, with whom she had her youngest son, Michael Charlie. She also helped to raise Taezha and Alvin Two Moons her grandkids.

Serena was a kind hearted, caring woman, in every aspect of her life. Serena was a true Broncette, she loved the Cowboys. She loved to help anyone in any way that she could. Her heart was full of love and laughter. She really loved to make jokes, and tease all that knew her. Serena loved children of all ages, and she often was a caretaker of many children. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime, often as a secretary. Serena enjoyed being in the outdoors traveling to many places, camping, she sometimes would make a camp her home, riding horses, she loved being free, most of all though she loved being close to all of her family. She was most happy when her children came to visit. Serena was very proud of all of her children and her grandchildren. Serena loved being there for her family and friends, she was the best mother, the best friend, the best sister, and the best auntie/grandma. To all of you reading this, we are deeply sorry for your loss as well as ours, we know you all loved our mother, and we hope you all know she loved you too.

Serena is preceded in death by her son, Charlie Russell Eugene Estell, her adopted son Daniel Shottanana, her parents Harry Littlebird Sr., AnnieJoyce Littlebird, her niece Juanita Lee, her granddaughter Taneisha, and her sisters Limona, Aurelia, and Ginger Lynn. She is survived by all of her children, her siblings, Glenn (Lillian), Steve, Theresa, Ruth (Mark), Harry, Fernando (Iylene), Richard (Claudine), and Rosie (Sam). Serena has many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and chosen family that she loves very much. Please forgive us if we left any of the family members out this is a very hard time for us all.

I miss you dearly my sweet beautiful mama. I love you so much. So so much. Insane how much time has passed that I haven’t seen your face, heard your laughter, and felt your warm embrace. Not a day goes by that you are not on my mind, not a day goes by that I don’t miss you and wish you were still here. I love you so very much 😘 You are my sky angel 😇 although that brings me comfort it is simply not the same as actually having you. I miss you so so so much. I love you!
