Serjio Cortez Jr., 17, is returned to his father in Heaven on Wednesday September 15, 2004, after sustaining injuries due to an automobile accident near Superior, Montana. Funeral services will be held in Wright, Wyoming at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a visitation held on Monday September 20, from 6-8 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewing will also be at 10:00 am with the services beginning at 11:00 am. on Tuesday, September 21, 2004.

Serjio was a junior at Wright Jr. Sr. High school and was active in both school and church. He was currently a member of the WJSHS football team. Serjio was a very loving and kind young man who was friends with everyone. Serjio loved the great outdoors and would often spend time camping with his family.

Serjio is survived by his parent, Serjio Sr. and Maria Cortez and four younger sisters: Adriana (Audrey), Kayla, Veila, and Sienna of Wright Wyoming. Grandmothers Thomasa Rios and Santos Laredo Cortez, Grandfather Rodolfo Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Alberto Cortez.
