Interment: will be in the Cantanment Cemetery in Canton OK
Shannon Bull Coming, our sister, mother, friend, cousin, and aunty left us to be with Maheo on August 7, 2010 at 3:19am due to a terminal illness.
Shannon was a member of the Northern Cheyenne and Southern Arapaho Tribes; she was given the Indian Name Chief Woman. Shannon was a woman full of happiness and a sense of humor that was one of a kind. She loved to be with her friends. She lived her life with strong integrity and confidence. She especially loved her boys with all her heart and wanted the best for them.She attended school at St. Labre Catholic School. She enjoyed playing basketball. She worked as a tour guide at the St. Labre Indian Museum and for the Northern Cheyenne Credit program.
Shannon was preceded in death by her parents Tommy Bull Coming and Cheryl King; her grandparents Roy and Kathryn Bull Coming and Mary King; and her aunt Gloria King.She is survived by her sister Tommilyn Bull Coming; her brothers Dana (Bethany) Bull Coming, Corey Bull Coming, Jace Bull Coming, John Elkshoulder and Thomas Walksalong; her sons Taizen Lira and Chino Lira; her aunts Emma King, Georgianne Kellum, Theresa Littlebird and Charlotte Runsabove; her uncles Daniel Foote, George Littlehead Jr., Fernando Littlebird Sr., Harry Littlebird Jr., Vernon (Rhoda) Bull Coming, Donald Bull Coming and Roy Dean Bull Coming. She is also survived by the families of Littlebird, Littlehead, Kellum, Bull Coming, Mexican Cheyenne, King, Foote, Elkshoulder and Lira.
