Sharon Hamilton Dixon, age 57, of La Center, Washington died on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2007 at her home in La Center.
She was born, Sharon Lee Hamilton, on December 4, 1949 in Poplar, MT. Sharon was the youngest of five children born to Harry and Nellie Hamilton. Nellie pasted away when Sharon was a young child at which time she moved with her father to Washington State.Sharon enjoyed the simple things in life especially her family, friends and her dogs.In 1974 Sharon was seriously injured in an automobile accident. Her injuries forced her into early retirement. Though she struggled physically as a result of her injuries, she sought to maintain a positive attitude and always found something to be thankful for.
Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Shayne Combs and husband, Chuck Bruce of Portland, OR; Shanin and husband, Glenn Hancuff of La Center, WA; five grandchildren Taylor, Keanu, Brittany, Jesse and Aidan; and brother Larry (Cleo) Hamilton of Poplar.
She was preceded in death by father Harry; mother Nellie; brother Harry and sisters Dorothy and Judy.
There will be a memorial reception to honor her life to be held at a later date in Washington.Visitation will be held Monday, August 13 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point with a Prayer service at 7 p.m. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with interment following at Chelsea Cemetery, Poplar.
