In Memory Of

Sheila Dalsted, 73, of Forsyth

May 16, 1943 – April 27, 2017

Sheila Dalsted died on April 27, 2017, with her husband at her side at the Rosebud Health Care Center.

Sheila was born May 16, 1943 to Eric Forrester and Theresa Sibla.  They moved around following her father’s military career.  Eventually she graduated high school in Hebron, ND.  On October 14, 1961 she married Lyle Dalsted, they met at a barn dance and then married a year later.  They traveled around because of Lyle’s work with road construction.

In 1975 they moved to Miles City, to Colstrip in 1993, and eventually to Forsyth in 2000 where they lived happily ever after.

She loved many things including dogs, flowers, being a pool shark, and always being dressed to the nines, she always dressed very classy.  She had lots of friends and enjoyed spending time with them.  She was very loving, thoughtful, and had a great sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-dad, Alvin Olson.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Dalsted of Forsyth, MT; daughter, Terri (Dale) Johnson of Bismark, ND; sons, Loni (Candice) Dalsted of Sulphur, OK, and Robi Dalsted, Bismark, ND; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Clyde) Kraenzel of Hebron, ND, and Pam (Jim) Hammel of Crowley, TX; brother, Randy Olson of Lafayette, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Flowers can be sent to the Elks Lodge for the Thursday Service.

Lyle, Such good times we’ve had in the past with you and Sheila (and the kids growing up together in Montana…not to mention prior years in ND, too). Sheila has been one of my closest friends, even with the miles and years that have separated us, and you Lyle, Jerry’s best friend. I can only offer my prayers to you, Terri, Loni, and Robi during this saddest of times, and let you all know that you will be in my thoughts in these days ahead.

The loss of Mrs. Sheila Dalsted a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are people who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that “God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time of grief.
