Sherri Jo was born at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette on January 29, 1962 to John and JoAnn (Young) Tholson. She was raised and educated in Douglas, Wyoming. When Sherri was 16 years old her parents took her on a trip to Hawaii without her brothers and sisters, She enjoyed being the baby of the family and reaping the rewards. reminisces her sister Jacque, on their childhood together.

Upon her schooling she met E. Duane Corky Stetson. They were married March 23, 1979 at the Congregational Church in Douglas, Wyoming. She was beautiful on that day, and it was the happiest day of my life, remembers Corky. The couple then moved to Laramie where they could finish school. In 1989, the family came to Rozet where they made their home since. She was a devoted 4-H mother working with the kids to raise their animals. When the kids got older she was active in the boys sports and Kirstens drama. She was president of the Moorcroft Little League for three years. Sherri enjoyed wrestling even though her sons did not participate, she liked to watch and cheer on the other boys. She loved raising kids and was a mother to many. Sherri defined her life by her family and what she had to do to make them happy. She loved each and everyone one of them for every lasting moment prior to her death. She was the life of a stay-at-home mom, responsible for raising three hyperactive children. Her fondest memories were always close to her family. In her life, she watched her children grow into adulthood. Kirsten, her daughter and oldest child, move to New York City to pursue a career and her dreams in theater. Her son, Joseph graduated in Journalism from the University of Wyoming and is now beginning his life as a writer. Patrick, her youngest child, is currently in his second year in the College of Engineering at the University of Wyoming. Sherri had a keen mind for politics and bookkeeping. She and her husband started Stetson Engineering in 1992, which Sherri did the bookkeeping for. Since that time she has made friends from many of their clients from all around Northeast Wyoming. Sherri also loved traveling with her husband to Denver, Rapid City, and Casper and to meetings all over the country. She treasured her trips to New York to visit her daughter and attend the Broadway shows.
