Sherry Samuelson Gaskill, age 51, of Volborg, MT, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003 on the family ranch.
Sherry was born to Voyle and Virginia Samuelson on August 7, 1951 in Deadwood, SD. She lived in South Dakota until November of 1959 when the family moved to Pumpkin Creek, Volborg, Montana. She attended and graduated from Broadus High School where she met Dick Gaskill, whom she married on June 10, 1969. They raised three children; Tawny, Ila and CJ. Dick and CJ enjoyed working with Sherry on the family ranch where she enjoyed her yard, flowers and her daily walks with Ozzie and PeeWee. She could work all day with the men and still come in with a smile to get supper. She loved feeding cake to the cattle, riding and working cattle, and just being outdoors. Above all, she dearly loved and bragged about her grandkids, Lane, Lawson, Kaleb, Gavin, and Mia. She was the bright spot in everyone's life. She touched the hearts of all she knew.
Sherry is survived by her husband Dick, of the family ranch; two daughters: Tawny McGill and husband Lewis of Powderville, Ila Gnerer and her husband Steve of Billings, MT; her son CJ Gaskill and his special love Echo Block; and the 5 loves of her life; Lane, Lawson, Kaleb, Gavin and Mia; her parents Voyle and Virginia Samuelson her four brothers and their wives; Carl and Melanie, Sid and Gaye, Norman and Julie, Don and Patty; and many special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She is loved, missed by all and will never be forgotten.
