My heart is just breaking. My friend for so many years. Lots of great memories. We were hooked at the elbow. Golfing, dancing, trips to Miles for chemotherapy treatments. Billings trip with Judy Thaden! Oh, what fun we always had. Mischievous sometimes too! Glad I had those telephone calls the last couple of years. Will miss you always. Gene and family I know that you have been through a lot and I am sending hugs. Hold all the good memories close. Wrap the heavenly arms of our father around this family.

Life milestones. Gene, I remember when you and I began our freshman year at Broadus High. OMG! that was 74 years ago … and a couple years later Shirley enrolled. Lots of memories. Eventually separated by lots of miles … you and Shirley in AZ / MT and Jeanie and me in Texas. As you know, I lost Jeanie to cancer 20+ years ago. And a few years later reconnected and married my former HS sweetheart Nellie. But this event is about you / your family and not about me. Please know you’re in my prayers. RIP, Shirley.

Wanda Raschkow says
Shirley and my mom, Georgia Raschkow, were best friends from when they were little kids. They grew up helping their dad with the ranch and had many tales to tell about their adventures. They spent a lot of time together while Gene and Shirley lived in Sun City. Many more tales to tell! Aunt Shirley always had a twinkle in her eye and a joke to share. I miss Shirley, and my mom is heartbroken to have lost her sister and her best friend.
Out thoughts and prayers are with you all.
