Memorial service for Harold Powers, known to his family and friends as Skip, will at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Kenna Rose officiating.
Skip Powers, age 50, of Gillette, Wyoming died suddenly on January 27, 2005 as a result of injuries he received in an ATV accident on the ranch near Gillette, Wyoming, where he lived with his wife, Ana, and step-son, Luke.
Harold C. Powers, Jr. was born the son of Harold C. Powers Sr., and Betty (OBryan) Powers on March 2, 1954 in Cushing Oklahoma where he was raised, educated and resided until his move to Wyoming in 1998. Skip moved here for his work and his future wife Ana Faycosh. The couple married on June 19, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skip enjoyed a successful career as a pipeline welder and advanced to be an inspector/supervisor, for Gilligans LLC., where he was employed until the time of his death.
Skip will be remembered for his passion and love of the outdoors and was happiest on that ranch with Ana and their many animals that they loved and nurtured. He loved riding his Harley in the quiet and sparsely populated Wyoming environment.
Skip is survived by his wife, Ana and step-son Luke Worthington of Gillette, Wyoming; sons, Joshua (Amy) and Logan Powers of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughters, Jessica Powers of Edmond, Oklahoma; Aubrey Powers of Fort Dodge, Iowa; step children, Jake (Amber) and Duncan Worthington of Gillette, Wyoming; Bridgett (Shaun) Melton of Texas; mother, Betty Powers of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters Sharon (Fred) Ferrell of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Kathy (Jay) Hickman of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. (Buddy) Powers; and father- in-law, Joseph F. Faycosh.
