Stephanie Marie (Ringland) Pittman passed away Sunday morning August 3, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Stephanie lived in Miles City as a little girl with her parents Evan Bernard and Mary (Brahar) Ringland and made long-lasting connections and bonds with so many people. Stephanie went to school in Miles City and immediately started working. She worked in housekeeping with her mother at the Red Rock. She met Edward L. Pittman and they were married and had two children. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming where she raised her children for some time there before moving back to Miles City. For the remainder of Stephanie’s life, she grounded herself in Miles City where she continued to raise her children while working at the Friendship Villa. Her strong work ethic and determination kept her there for almost 30 years. Her commitment and dedication extended into caring and loving everyone she came into contract with. Stephanie helped raise her two grandchildren Blade and Tahya Bart whom she cared for and protected with every fiber in her being and all the kids that visited her home. She invited all her children in to her home with open arms. Her name “Nana” rang with loved every time she was around or mentored. She cared and loved for everyone she met.
Stephanie’s loved and ambition to live life being an inspiration for others and herself. Although she had health complications, she motivated herself to help others, exercise and share her time with those she kept close to her. She was a strong spirit and showed all of us what it really means to live strong and brave.
Stephanie leaves behind her two oldest children, Edward E. Pittman and Lynn Marie Pittman, her two grandchildren Blade E.J. Bart and Tahya Ann Bart and Joe Martell who was a true friend and companion at the end of her life and was always by her side.
Our family would like to send our sincerest condolences to her friends, family and loved ones. We feel your pain and loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as our beautiful mother looks over all of us.

Stephanie was a dear friend to the end. We had been planning to go have a cup of coffee and remember all the good times. As growing up we would go bowling out at the “Red Rock Lanes” and then we would go ride the horses they had for rent down at Schoonover’s. We also rode bikes and bicycles made for two for hours. She truly was a dear friend. RSP and see ya on the other side. Condolences to the family
