Stephanne was born on November 13, 1984 in Crow Agency, MT and went to the other side camp on May 19, 2021. She grew up in Lame Deer early in her childhood when her mother worked at the Lame Deer Schools as a teacher in 5-6. Stephanne was employed at the Lame Deer Big Store I.G.A., Cheyenne Depot, and Daycare. She had two children, Shoreigh Limberhand and K’llele Stump whom she loved cery much to the moon and back. She was loved by many and cherished her childhood friends, “Tia Clown and Zhona Tang” in her childhood youth. She is preceded in death by, grandmother, Elva Medicine Bull, Red Hat; grandpa, Jasper Red Hat Sr. Florene Beartusk Taylor, Lonnie Taylor Hoops, Troylynn Shotgunn Taylor, Tonyell Charlie Hernandez, and Dwain Estamo Taylor. Stephanne comes from Shotgunn family, Stephanne is survived by her father, Robert (Jasette) Shotgunn; sibling, Jarrat Shotgunn; aunties, Roberta (Don) Lonebear, and Alice Shotgunn. She has many family members from Ethete, Wyo: Googles, White Antelope, Yazzies, Shotgunn’s, Willows, and many more. Montana, Medicine Bulls, Swallows, Shotgunn’s Browns, Headswift, Wicks, Beartusk, Pine, Rising Sun, Killsnight, High Wolf, Black Wolf, Wolf Black, Killsontop, Lighting Stands, Eastman, Bixby, Real Bird, Hoops, Bird Hat, and Moccasin.
When her uncle Donavan Taylor would take orders for food and materials from the family before he went back to Billings where he lived, one of Stephanne’s request was in her loud voice in the back of the room, “A Symphony”; which was a rather large chocolate candy bar that isn’t quite on the shelves these days in the stores. She was close to her grandparents on both sides of the family of the Shotgunn and Beartusk peoples. Her grandmothers, Florene would always allow Stephanne to stay at her house and would even was her clothes even though she was an adult. Stephanne was a pretty young woman, bright person, kind, not a violent person, she will be missed as she makes her journey to the other side camp and will be greeted in open arms of our loved ones who did their best for us to survive in this world.
