Sterling Kim Rhoads

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 20, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City

Interment: will follow in the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City

Sterling Kim Rhoads, age 47, formally of Jordan, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at his home in Coalinga, California.

Kim was born in Miles City, Montana on March 20, 1959, the son of Joe and Margaret Rhoads. Kim developed his life long love for horses at an early age while following the racing circuit with his grandparents, Ira and Minnie Brown. As a young man, Kim enjoyed many localropings and rodeos with his mother and step-father Margaret and P.T (Spud) Cremer. Kim graduated from Garfield County High School in 1977, and briefly studied criminal law while attending college in Lake Tahoe. His passion was breaking horses and working with livestock. The past five years he was employed by Harrris Feed Lot in Coalinga, California. Some of his favorite pastimes were shooting sports, reading, and traveling. Special times for Kim included Christmas and the annual Brain Fry with his with family and friends.

Kim is survived by his mother, Margaret Cremer, step-father, P.T. Cremer, sisters, Jacque (Bob) Gregg, and Kathy (John)Eitzen; step-sisters: Maureen (Dale)Schaak, Kelly (Tracey) Grow, and Patty Cremer. Uncles: Sterling (Jan) Brown, Harold Brown, Fred Brown, and Adrian (Faith) Brown, Aunt Delphia Wood, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Joe Rhoads, a brother Delbert Rhoads, uncle William Brown, and Grandparents Ira and Minnie Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
