one month ago Steve Jr. passed away, on the day Steven Sr. was taken to Holy Rosary Hospital, so the father did not know his son was deceased when he was being taken to Miles City. Hysham has lost SO many good people this past year. Steve Sr was every bit as thoughtful as his so Stevie Jr. They will truly be missed by the whole town. I will miss them both the rest of my life. Why do the good people get taken away from their friends and famlies far to soon. Then the people that do terrible things and end up in jail live forever. I will forever love both father and son. They say the good Lord only dishes out as much as you can handle, and I really don’t know how much more I can handle. We had alot of good times together since the day we were introduced. You will be forever have a piece of my heart with you Steve Sr. I loved you alot as my friend and part of my family. I hope you are finally at piece. You always told me that we were all born to die. Rest in piece now, you are in a far better place now than all the friends you left behind. Till be meet again at the pearly gates of Heaven. Just remember how many people in Hysham and the surrounding small town will miss all the GOOD things you did for everyone else; not expecting any thing in return. I loved you and will continue till we meet again. Love Janiece

Steve, I can’t believe both you and Jr are gone. I lived so close to you but yet I never made time to visit. You were always a great neighbor to me! When I first moved in as a single mom with 2 kids you were so kind to us. You put up with my noisy kids. Even when Serena didn’t understand boundaries and would just pop into your house, you were so kind to her. I’m sorry I never properly returned your kindness. You were a true friend and I let our busy life get in the way of making sure you knew that. I know that now you are with Steve Jr again and free from all your pain. You will be missed by so many!! RIP Steve!

Steve was such a nice person, a fellow veteran that I had the honor to take care of while working at the VA Clinic in Miles City. I was honored to know him.

Oh Dear! March of 2016 and I didn’t know.
We were US Army Recruiters in Portland OR. We were friends, we had fun together. I was best man at his wedding near Reno NV. I was there to be leaned on when that one didn’t work out. I hauled his ass upstairs to the apartment when he was too banged up to move (from falling out of a moving VW micro-bus that Theodore was driving).
I had found his address & phone number. Since I am going to be in Billings early next month I tried to look him up. Oh Dear! I’ve missed!

Steve there are so many many fond memories. The love we shared was genuine and true. I just did not listen to everyone and I should have. I have thought about you so often and even now and wondered how life would have been had I just listened. We had so much fun together and were always happy. I was the lucky one to have known you, fished with you, camped with you, danced with you, served in the Army with you. I made the wrong choice. One I’ll always regret. I’ve looked for you before many times without luck and now I finally find you but too late. I’m so sorry. I loved you then. I always have. I’ll see you again . You were a good man. I was a foolish young woman to let you go. I’m sorry.
