In Memory Of

Steven Knudson

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point

Steven Douglas Knudson, 55, died on Monday, May 10, 2010, in Billings after a yearlong battle against cancer. He never wavered during many phases of cancer treatment, always remaining positive and strong.

His innate will to live inspired everyone who knew him.Cremation has taken place and a servicein Wolf Point will be announced at a later date.Steve was born on May 5, 1955, in Scobey. He was the third child of Lyle and Myrtle (Rossing) Knudson. In 1960, his loving family moved to Wolf Point and grew to six children.Steves greatest sadness was the loss of his mother to cancer when he was 17. His formative years were spent working with his dad and brothers at the family-owned Lyles Conoco station.

On Feb. 14, 1989, he married the love of his life, June Wolff, also welcoming three children into his life.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman who lived for hunting and fishing. His freezer was always overflowing with game, and he enjoyed cooking. His rifles, boats and ATVs were his pride and joy. He held jobs at Buttreys, City Meat, Roosevelt County Jail, Waterhole Bar and, for the past 15 years, worked as a custodian at Wolf Point High School. He continued to work as long as his illness allowed, resigning only six days prior to his death.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, June, who was an amazing source of strength and support; his beloved stepchildren, Jennifer Wells of Miles City, Becky Wolff of Portland, Ore., and Bob Shaw of Havre; 13 step-grandchildren; brothers Ron (Betty) Knudsonof Havre, Reed (Tammy) Knudson of Layton, Utah; sisters Arlene (Jerry) Neumiller of Wolf Point, Debra (Rick) Davies of Chinookand Shari (Terry) Ekwortzel of Nye; stepsisters Kathy Roberts and Kristy Kimball; stepbrother Jim Roberts; special aunt and uncle Sandra and Roy Kessler; and many other loving aunts, uncles, niecesand nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Myrtle Knudson, and stepmother Lorene Knudson.

Thank you to everyone at Wolf Point High School for your support. Many thanks to all of the dear friends and family members who supported Steve through his fight and throughout his life. Steve, we love you and miss you. Until we meet again. God will wipe every tear from their eyes. (Rev 7:17)
