Funeral Service: Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Busby High School Gymnasium in Busby, MT.
Burial: will follow in the Kellum Family Cemetery in Lame Deer, MT.
Storm Ethan Kellum, Amsto'eeseo'o (Travois)was born on May 5, 1991. He went to be with Maheo on August 17, 2009.
He was the oldest son born to Orville Speelman and Gizelle Kellum. Storm was a very bright and cheerful baby, always curious and adventurous. As he grew older he developed a love for horses and bicycles. Making his own money by fixing bikes for other kids and breaking horses, he was taught by his uncle William Jr. and Jimmy Peppers Jr. He broke and rode horses and earned his own horses as he grew older.
Storm was very proud of his job at Northern Cheyenne Tribal School. He was a kitchen aide. He enjoyed his many years as a student and he was looking forward to his senior year and he intended to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corp. He loved the outdoors and went fishing and hunting whenever he could. Storm also enjoyed going to Pow-Wows and camping. Storm was a grass dancer and wanted to follow in his Uncle Georges steps by going into traditional dancing. He spent many hours working on cars with his big buddy Carl Fisher, as he was an up and coming mechanic with two or more car projects. His uncles William and George often took him hunting. He was an excellent shot with his hunting rifle.
Storm is a direct descendent of Tangled Yellowhair, Cheyenne War Chief.He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, George Littlehead Sr., Margaret King, Ruby Mauro and William C. Kellum Sr.; his grandparents Orville Speelman Sr., Ruth Yellowhair and Alvina Cain; his Uncle George A. Kellum and his older brother August C. Whitedirt, whom he missed very dearly.
He is survived by his father and mother, Orville Jr. and Gizelle Kellum; his brothers, Errol C. Speelman, Shawn Whiteshirt, Thunder, Lightening and Accustas Kellum; his sisters Teal Whitedirt, Sterling Dawn and Zepher Rain Kellum; his grandparents, William Bruce Kellum Sr. and Georgiann Kellum; his uncles William Kellum Jr., Ben and Henry Speelman; his aunts Twilla Speelman and Misty and Annissa Kellum. Storm had many friends that he visited and he will be missed by everyone very much.
