Susan E. Brown passed peacefully with her family surrounding her in the Cancer Unit of ST. Peters Hospital in Helena, MT on February 13, 2017.
Born to Joe B. and Mary Louise (Rose) Olguin on July 16, 1953 in La Veta, Colorado. She spent her younger childhood growing up between La Veta & Walsenburg, CO. Susan moved to Miles City, Montana when she was still in Middle School. Susan graduated from Custer County High school.
Susan married Clifford F. Brown on May 18, 1980, and thus welcomed the addition of Cliff’s two daughters, Cindy and Danielle.
Susan enjoyed driving semi-truck and creating small business adventures. In addition, Susan and Cliff started a carpet cleaning business and an advertising business. Susan worked as the office manager for a private physician in Miles City. Prior to retirement their last adventure was Brown’s Pilot Car Service.
Susan’s life was always full of adventures. She loved to socialize, cook, and have big family gatherings. Susan loved to smile and laugh. She was known to be a caretaker and had a knack for getting things accomplished.
Susan had been in Rosebud Health Care Nursing Home in Forsyth from 2013 thru 2015. Our family moved Susan from Eastern Montana over to Elk Horn Health and Rehab in Clancy, MT in June of 2015. In mid-2016 we moved Susan to Big Sky Health Care Center in Helena, MT. Our family is grateful to each of these facilities for their compassion and care.
Susan always had a strong faith in the Lord. She has a large family that loved her dearly.
Survivors include Husband, Clifford F. Brown of Miles City and East Helena, MT; Daughter, Cindy (Dean Morrow) Winkley of Helena, MT; Daughter, Danielle and Wayne Knutson of Billings, MT; Brother, Larry (Roseann) Olguin of Walsenburg, CO; Brother, David (Danette) Olguin of Miles City, MT; Sister, Dorothy Olguin of Miles City, MT; Brother, Russell Aragon of Colorado Springs, CO; a niece and two nephews, Grandchildren Tansen Winkley, Nicole Winkley, Bryan Winkley, and Lela Winkley. There are eight great grandchildren. Many special people that she has crossed paths in life.
Preceded in Death by her Father, Joe B. Olguin; Mother, Mary Louise (Rose) Olguin; Brother, Mike Griego; her Unborn Precious Baby.
Viewing will be at 5:00 p.m. with a vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave with a graveside service to follow at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison. A reception will follow the graveside service in the social hall of the funeral home.
