Suzanne Annette Messer, age 51, of Miles City went to her Heavenly Father's side on Sunday, February 1, 2004.
Suzanne (Susan) was born in Miles City, Montana, on June 3, 1952, the daughter of Rene Ottoy and Mary Lou Timberman. She attended and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Miles City, Montana. Suzanne married Terry Irwin in her early adulthood and they lived in Billings, MT, and for many years, in Wasilla, a suburb of Anchorage, AK. Their children areDeanna, Jamie, and Jay Paul. She later married Rick Messerand lived in Utah.
Suzanne was first of all a kind and loving person who, without fail, cared for others more than herself. She was a true Christian and an exampleofa person livingThe Golden Rule on this earth.The people she chose to love were very fortunate indeed. She worked many and varied jobs in her time in Alaska, from working with drafting to working for the county on the roads. She had a great ability to adapt. She loved animals incredibly and cared for her horses, bird and her dog daily. She enjoyed riding horses and doing the daily chores necessary for their care. She raised larger gardens than most would dream were possible.Anyone whowas lucky enough to crossher path and come to love our dear Suzanne, would say about her, "She had a HEART OF GOLD".
Suzanne is survived by her parents, Rene Marcel Ottoy and Mary Lou Timberman, both of Miles City; by her husband, Rick Messer ofJensen, Utah; by her daughter Deanna Gee, andher husband, Jimmy Gee of Anchorage, AK, and their children (her grandchildren, Shellina, and Aurora); by her daughter, Jamie Irwin, of Fort Worth,TX; by her son, Jay Paul Irwin of Spokane,Washington; by her siblings, Janet Ottoy Thompson and her daughter Christine Loegering and husband ScottLoegering,and their children, Nicole, Courtney, Alexandra, Emily, and Elissa, and Janet's son, Mark Campeau;by Linda Ottoy Regan and her son, Sean Regan and wife Anna Regan, and their son Caleb,and by her son MichaelRegan,and wife Rosie Regan, and their children Eddie and Amanda; by Richard Ottoy and his sons, Nicholas, and Joseph, and their mother, Dawn Ottoy; by Mary Ketchum and her son, Casey Ketchum.
A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2004, at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home, in Miles City, Montana. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
