Tami Lynn Whitehawk was born to Christopher Whitehawk and Christine Redcloud in Crow Agency, MT on August 12th, 1970. We take comfort knowing that Tami went home to God. She was loved by her family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and all of her family. Tami leaves behind her four sons, Ross Jones, Christopher Jones, Nathaniel Shorthair, and Wayne Shorthair Jr. She also leaves five grandchildren; Julius Jones, Sadie Jones, Liam Jones, Leedon Jones, and Carmen Jones.
Tami loved cooking and baking, especially for family and friends. She will be remembered for her suckers that came in various flavors. She loved being outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and camping. But most of all Tami really loved being with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She attended grade school in Lame Deer. She went to high school at Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota.
Tami leaves behind her children and grandchildren; sisters Charlene LittleOldMan, Lori Medicine Bull, and Tina LittleOldMan; brother Joe Morrison Jr.; nieces Tameka, Selena, Chanelle, Lanora, Deshanda, and Bernice; nephews Antonio, Tyrone, Brandon, Kenny, and Steven; many great nephews, nieces and cousins.
Tami is proceeded in death by her parents, Uncle Jimmy Redcloud, Aunt Mamie Littleman, and many other family members.

I’m glad you are no longer suffering, aunty. You were like my 2nd mom, aunty, and best friend all in one. We made so many memories together. Our sense of humor was on point. Often times we were the only one’s who got each other’s jokes as people around us looked at us like we were crazy and went the other way lol. The hurt of seeing you in pain took its toll on me I made the decision to honor you the way I remember you. The carefree, happy, always laughing person that you are. I love you aunty and I’m gonna miss you so much. We practically grew up together! Watch over me and keep me safe…
