Ted Dalke

Visitation: Thursday, November 13, 2003 in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City

Funeral Service: Friday, November 14, 2003 at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City

Interment: will follow in the Custer County Cemetery

Ted Dalke, age 89, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Eagles Manor in Miles City.

Theodore Ted was born on January 5, 1914 in Fundu Sarazika, Bessarabia, Romania, the son of Samuel and Mathilda (Kron) Dalke. When he was 6 months old, the family migrated to the United States to Carrington, North Dakota. They then moved to Fallon and Marsch area where he attended country schools. He and Mary Walz were married in Pettibone, ND on June 25, 1939. In 1941, they moved to Kinsey, MT where they made their home and farmed until December of 1959, when they moved to Miles City. Ted worked as a carpenter while doing many different odd jobs. Ted loved to sharpen knives, working in his garage, going fishing and hunting.

Ted is survived by his wife, Mary Dalke of Miles City, two sons; Arvin and his wife Dee Dalke of Jamestown, ND and Loren and his wife Joni Dalke of Jamestown, ND. Two daughters; Ardella and her husband David Berzel of Billings, MT, and Luann and her husband Chuck Pluhar of Cohagen, MT, his brother Herbert Dalke of Manteca, CA, a sister Almeta Neiffer of Cashmere, OR, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by her parents and one sister; Hilda Adams.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2003 in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2003 at 2:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.

Memorials may be given to the Miles City Hunter Safety Program, the Trinity Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
