Teishia Marie Big Back, 43, of Busby was called home by Maheo on Sunday, June 11, 2017, in the Billings Clinic I.C.U.
Motse’eoo’e (Sweet Medicine Woman) was born March 11, 1974 to Larry Big Back Sr. and Lenora Wolfname in Crow Agency, Montana. She was the 6th generation decedent of Chief Dull Knife and a direct descendent of the Apache Chief Geronimo. She grew up in the White Corrals area and attended school at St. Labre and NCTS.
Teishia was with John Sanchez and from this union she had Larry Todd and Dimarzio Swade. Later, she met Luis Alonzo and gave birth to Santiago and Andreas Alonzo. More recently, she connected with Matt Toohey, and from this union came, Keenan James.
Teishia loved being around family and friends. She was affectionately known as Wishkeeus, Ree-ha & Sister by her close family and friends. Her boys were the apple of her eye. She could always be counted on to make you laugh, no matter your mood. She had a special gift of language and could speak Northern Cheyenne and Spanish.
She was preceded in death by her son, Andreas Alonzo; brothers: Larry “Sonny” Big Back Jr., Chase Montgomery Yellowrobe, Shawn Davis Wolfname, Tony Wolfname Jr., Wamblee Spottedelk, Mathias Michel, Clyde Red Woman Jr., Dana Shoulderblade, and Lee J. Big Back; her sisters: Jewel Beth Yellowrobe, Lara Bigback, Laureen Bellrock, Pam Shoulderblade, and Berdine Shoulderblade; her maternal grandparents, Wilbur Wolfname Sr. and Martha Yellowrobe Wolfname; paternal grandparents: Gloria Big Back, Robert Bigback Sr., and Gladys Hadley Bigback; uncles: Daniel Wolfname, Wilbur Wolfname Jr., Tony Wolfname Sr., Steve Brady Sr., and Michael Big Back; aunts: Geri Big Back-Shoulderblade, Christine “Teenie” Big Back-Mathias, and Ernestine Two Moons; and grandpas, Otis Yellowrobe and Bob “Bunny” Bailey.
Survivors include, her parents, sons: Larry Todd Sanchez, Dimarzio Swade Sanchez, Santiago Alonzo, and Keenan James Big Back; her granddaughter, Ellianna Alana Sanchez; sisters: Kristen Yellowrobe, Carmen Wolfname, Kim Big Back, Nicole Wolfname, Starla Wolfname, Ricki Lee Wolfname, Kiann Wolfname, Shannon Wolfname, Ciciley Wolfname, Dawn Wolfname, and Sheri (Jim) Bement; brothers: Corry Daniel Wolfname Sr., Collins Hadley Big Back, Sterling Wolfname, and Kyle Big Back; nieces and nephews: Dorian Pongah, Alexandria Hopkins, Korilynn Wolfname, Corry Daniel Wolfname Jr., and Calvin Wolfname; her uncles: Lloyd (Helen)Yellowrobe, Hank Wolfname, Gary Wolfname, Rick (Janet) Wolfname, Ronald (Cindy) Bigback, Robert (Michelle) Big Back Jr., Gordon (Ruth) Big Back, Leslie Big Back Sr., and James Big Back; aunts: Linda Brady, Carla Larose, Colette Mast-Polite, Rolette (Donie) Coleman, Gail Big Back, Roberta Big Back, Marie (Calvin) Brady, and Jennifer Big Back; and grandparents: Bernice Mast, Marie Littlewolf, Madeline Yellowrobe, Eugene and Clarice Big Back Sr., Max and Dolly Hiwalker, Barbara One Bear, Phoebe Spotted Elk, and Marietha Charette. She had many cousins that she was very close too and called her sisters and brothers, her special friends, families Wolfname, Big Back, Hadley, Yellowrobe, Bailey, One Bear, Seminole, Evans, Eagle Feathers, Shoulderblade, Sooktis, Walks Alongs, Black Wolfs, Whitemans, Whitewolfs, and Weasel Bears. Our family is large, so please forgive us if we have forgotten anyone.
