Terran Harris, a proud son, beloved brother, uncle, bandmate, and friend, passed away on July 22, 2025. He was born on October 16, 1986, to Troy and Jonita Harris and was raised in both Colstrip and Muddy Creek, places that helped shape the strong, loving, and dependable man he became.
Terran grew up alongside his siblings—Trent, Thunder, and Trina—and from a young age showed deep loyalty to his family and friends. He held many roles in his life: a hardworking man, a quiet protector, and a real live hero. He served his community through positions at the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority, Land Authority, and as a tree planter for Tribal Forestry. A skilled carpenter, he often traveled to job sites with his brother Trent, working for Dana Eaglefeathers. To North Dakota to butte My Terran was there—with steady hands and a big heart.
Terran was Trent’s right-hand man not only on the job, but also in music. They both could dance like no body’s business both loved to kick soccer, basketball, play hacky sack with their sister Trina. As a member of Trent’s band, he stood beside his brother, sharing his rhythm and energy with anyone who came to listen.
In 2011, Terran’s courage saved multiple lives in Colstrip—an act that showed the depth of his bravery and the quiet way he always put others before himself. He daily victories everyday he didn’t drink.
Many remember Terran walking the long road from Muddy Creek to Lame Deer. Along that journey, he left pieces of himself— of resilience and hope he and his brother would walk in the darkest and the coldest days and coldest nights. Not ever expecting anyone to give then a ride during those walks. Always with laughter, love. Those memories live on with everyone who crossed paths with him . And or the Brothers from Muddy Creek.
He is survived by his loving mother Jonita Harris; brothers Trent and Thunder Harris; sister Trina Harris; auntie Emma Harris; uncles Arlee and Delano Harris; nieces Tiri and Harlee Brien, Ambria and Serenity Harris; nephews Robert Brien V, Lakota Schindler, and Trent Harris Jr. Numerous friends he held close to his heart especially his best friends; Skye Harding, Stanley and Stephanie Littlewhiteman.
Terran is also remembered by his dear friend Artie Spang, with whom he shared a very special bond. Their connection was filled with love and understanding—something sacred to them and those who truly knew them.
He was preceded in death by his father Troy Harris and other beloved family members who traveled before him especially his friend Steven Littlewhiteman. We apologize if anyone was unintentionally left out—Terran came from a big family and had many friendships that stretched far and deep.
Terran will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his sense of humor, and his generous spirit. His memory will continue in the lives he touched and the roads he walked.

Giving him a ride home the day before I got to listen to him & as he got off at Muddy Creek turnoff I hollered at him as he was walking across the road “Have a safe walk home”. I thought it was kinda odd to say that but it came out that way. Will miss seeing you strutting the highway & giving you rides. ❤️ My heart goes out to you Jo,Trina, Trent, Tiri,Thunder, Storm, his bris, family & friends, Aunties & Uncles that loved him 🙏

When I delivered the elderly meals on my muddy Creek route I’d often see him walking. I would stop and give him water, pop, Gatorade whatever I had with me. If I had an extra meal I’d also give him one too. I’ll remember that smile and him saying “Thank you!”.
Sending my Prayers & Condolences to his Family.
