Terri Leary, age 47, died at home June 9th after complications from lung cancer.

Terri was born September 3rd, 1962 in Glendive, MT to Carl and Jill Clapp. Her parents later divorced and she was raised by her mother and step-father Ken Rohyans. She attended schools in Glendive, Federal Way, WA, and Helena and graduated from Capital High in 1980. Terri attended college at Eastern Montana College in Billings and graduated from Carroll College with a degree in Special Education, inspired by her sister Becki and uncle Jack.

Terri spent 24 years working at the Montana Developmental Center (MDC) starting as a teacher and soon becoming interested in developing a vocational training program. The department grew under her guidance and vision. She had a passionate desire that the clients of MDC experience job placement, a sense of responsibility and overall achievement. Terri was the Supervisor of Vocational Training for many years with her energies always dedicated to her clients.

Over the last 20 years Terri was ever present cheering on her boys during their baseball, basketball and football games. Tyson, Kahner and Reilly were the great loves of her life and she was their biggest fan and supporter.Terri and her mother Jill shared a very special bond, especially the last 4 months as they journeyed through cancer together and gathered strength from one another. She was interested in and so very talented at jewelry making, beading, crafting, and scrapbooking. She loved Glacier Park, Harley Davidsons, Rock and Roll music, concerts and most especially the sound of the river as she watched her beloved boys fishing. She enjoyed her boys, hunting stories and she prided herself on her shooting ability, referring to herself as ol sure shot Terri.

Terri was preceded in death by her father Carl Clapp, step-father Ken Rohyans, sister Becki Rohyans, Grandparents June and Pete Terrett, uncle Jack Terrett, Grandmother Frieda Clapp and David Benson.
