To Terry’s family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Terry was part of our Colstrip Power travel basketball team in the nineties. We had a lot of fun with those boys hauling them around to different tournaments. Terry had great sense of humor and often kept us entertained if he wasn’t sleeping way in the back of the van. We had recently connected through Facebook and we know he was having a hard time. So glad he is out of pain. Cherish his memories.

Terry Hiwalker was a good friend. I remember well those Colstrip Power days in the 90’s, and how graceful Terry was for a big guy. He was as much an athletic giant as he was gentle one. He was always funny, although I am not sure student “hijinks” were always appreciated by our teachers. In hindsight, I’d like to think they now appreciate the humor. I can hear his great childhood laugh even now, and that is how I will choose to remember him. Until we meet again my friend, keep a seat for me in the Batmobile. Inside joke. RIP Terry.

Terry, I am so thankful that I had the chance to talk with a few times since high school. You are a great man with such an amazing soul. All I ever remember of you is how calm, collected, and peaceful you were. We will all be praying for you and your family! I will be thinking of you every time the Ravens and Steelers play or when I think of the days back in Colstrip. Cheers brother, I know you are in a much better place. Thank you for everything and see you down the road.

Condolences to the family. I didn’t get the chance to really know him like his older brother. But I remember sitting in a suicide prevention training with him. You could tell he genuinely cared and was self-motivated to help others. That really stood out. Just want to encourage the family to continue to have faith in your traditions. You’ll always have good memories of him to continue to help guide his children in their future endeavors.

Dear Grandson I have to admit I am still struggling with trying to get used to the fact that you are gone. I was hoping it was not you and my shock has turned to pain. I am glad you were told we both had MS and you were brave enough to approach me in the Clinic and we had our first of many long talks, texts and calls. Very early in our talks I knew you were my Grandson. I was proud of how you faced this disease with such courage. As if this disease we share was not enough you lost one loved one after another and you worried about your children. It was a privilege to call you my grandson. We will meet again.
