Thelma (Nash) Drolc, age 89, passed away April 21, 2015 at her home in Miles City.
Thelma was born April 26, 1925 in the Glendo Township of Perkins County SD to Ed and Sophie (Iverson) Nash. Thelma was the seventh of eleven children. She received her education at Glendo Rural School. She attended high school at Sorum, SD for one year, then on to Hettinger where she graduated in 1943. She went to college in Spearfish, SD and earned her teaching degree which led her into her teaching career teaching for many years at different country schools.
Thelma married Andrew Drolc of Ralph, SD on May 7, 1946. To this union two daughters were born.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Drolc, mother Sophie, father Ed, step-father George Sankey, six brothers Ervin, Lloyd, Ernie, Jim, Claude and Arlo Nash; three sisters Clara Shong, Flora Ellingson and Dorothy Beld.
Sharing Thelma’s life were her daughters Pennella Drolc of Miles City, MT and Andrea (Drolc) Rice of Broadus, MT, son-in-law Vernon Rice of Broadus; grandsons Calvin Rice and DeeAnn of Miles City, MT; Levi Rice and Courtney of Gillette, WY as well as a sister Yvonne Hendricks of Hettinger.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 from 8:00a.m. to 1:00pm with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Burial will follow at Custer County Cemetery.
