Thelma Vivian (Lee) Keller, age 88, of Miles City, MT was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 23rd, 2007, following a relatively short period of declining health.
Thelmas lungs failed, but never failing was her love and trust in God. Thelma was born in Fallon, Montana, on June 1, 1919, the fourth of eight children born to Anna (Lunde) and Mons Olai Lee. Thelma attended grade school in Vananda, Montana, and high school in Ingomar, Montana, before moving to Miles City where she met and married the love of her life, Keith Wesley Keller on November 25, 1937. They raised their three children in Miles City: Linda Rae (Richard) Dennison of Missoula, MT; Carol Ann (Richard) Crosby, of Helena, Montana, and son, Keith Lee Keller who preceded his parents in death in 2003. Thelma was a life-long baptized and confirmed member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She believed we are on this earth to accomplish something useful every day. She was an excellent tailor/seamstress, and she loved flowers and gardening, bird watching and animals (especially dogs!). She was an excellent Norwegian cook and often made truly wonderful meals for family and friends and gifts of favorite baked goods and homemade candy. Thelma was strong and compassionate person who taught by example that we are to forgive, and to use your God given talents, actions and prayers to love and support family and friends as well as those less fortunate.
Thelma was also preceded in death by her parents, Mons and Anna, her sister Ragnhild (Ruth) Wiedeman, and five brothers; Thoralf, Mons, Leif, Sherman, and Gordon Lee, and one grandson, Todd Richard Dennison (stillborn).
Thelma is survived by her two daughters, her sister Margaret (Lee) Wilder of Laurel, Montana; seven beautiful granddaughters and five great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Thelma expected her family to carry on. We will.
