Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Chapel in Miles City.
Thomas Clinton Halsey (Tommy) was the 5th child and only son of Orville and Annabelle Kane Halsey.
He was born in his home on July 29, 1930 with four excited sisters, Helen, Caroline, Dorothy and Purney, all whom have preceded him in death.
He graduated from Sacred Heart High School and was the free throw champion in 1949. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1950, hoping to serve under his 2nd cousin Admiral Bull Halsey, but was diverted to Japan. Upon his discharge he married Edith Watson from Livingston, MT and started his family of four children, Dan (Dolores) Halsey, Shannon (Bryan) Holmen, and Ron and Richard Halsey. Working full time as a mail carrier he always found time to spend with his family and friends in pursuing his interest of hunting, fishing, rock hounding, billiards, sports and watching that big screen T.V.
He is survived by two sons, Dan (Dolores) Halsey of Billings, MT; Richard Campodonico of Billings, MT; one daughter Shannon (Bryan) Holmen of Miles City; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He died peacefully on April 18, 2010 surrounded by the gentle hugs and sweet sentiments of his kids, grandkids and his best buddy ever Pinky Hillier.
