Internment: will follow in the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery with full military rites
Thomas Hyslop, age 70, of Miles City passed away at the Friendship Villa in Miles City on July 24, 2003.
Thomas was born on May 30, 1933, the son of Thomas B. and Iva M. (Lane) Hyslop. He was raised in Miles City and attended schools there, graduating from Custer County District High School in 1951. After High School, Tom enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict. Thomas served in the Armed Forces for 20 years and later returned serving as a Master Sergeant. Following his retirement, he returned to Miles City where he has since lived and was active in the Shriners. Tom helped on local brandings and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an excellent cook. He helped Don Oschner deliver eggs.
Tom is survived by his sister Betty and her husband Frank Taylor of Bedford, TX and one niece, Laurie and her husband Guy and their children, Kirby and Sydney, of Hurst, TX.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert and Douglas and his sister Dorothy.
Visitation will begin on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2003 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Burial will follow in the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery with full military rites.
