Funeral Service: Saturday, March 17 at 10 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point.
Interment: Greenwood Cemetery Veterans Circle.

Whaota Wecqua (War Bonnet Keeper) Gives A lot of War Bonnets, reached the end of the trail at the age of 54 Sunday, March 11, 2007 at approximately 8:45 p.m. surrounded by family members.
Thomas was born on September 10, 1952 in Mandan, North Dakota to Phyllis and Aaron IronShield of Cannonball, North Dakota. He resided on the Standing Rock reservation located in North Dakota where he was an enrolled tribal member. Tom attended school in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Tom married Kate later divorced in which one child was born from that union, Wendy Dawn IronShield
Martinez of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1986 Tom met Joan Brown and they have two sons: Thomas Benjamin IronShield and Mike Thomas IronShield of Wolf Point, Montana, a step daughter, Johanna Young of Havre, Montana and step-son, Anthony Young of Billings, Montana. He also has five grandchildren. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting friends and relatives, making new acquaintances from near and far. Tom joined the armed services in 1969 and was honorably discharged. He served in the Vietnam war where he was door gunner for the US Army. He received the purple heart medal and the Bronze star. Tom also attended UTTC in Bismarck, North Dakota completing his degree in carpentry and where he worked as security guard. While living in Fort Yates, he also worked as a dispatcher for Fort Yates Police Department. Tom moved to Wolf Point where he and his family made their home.
Thomas brothers and sisters: Ordean IronShield of Twin Buttes, North Dakota, Fidelice Gerald (Arleata) IronShield, Sr. of Porcupine, North Dakota, Kathryn (Roger) St. Germaine, Sr. of Wolf Point, Shirley Alexander of Denver, Colorado, Concetta Hough of Wolf Point, Darla Nguyen and Michael Hubbard of Portland, Oregon, and LaVonne Brock of Wolf Point. Numerous nieces and nephews. Rosa IronShield of Fort Yates, North Dakota.
Preceding him was his mother Phyllis Shields; his father Aaron IronShield, III and brother Travis Lambert.
Services are scheduled for Friday, March 16, 2007 at Wolf Point Community Hall at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Clayton Stevenson Chapel on Saturday, March 17 at 10 a.m. Pastor Kenny Azure will officiate services. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery Veterans Circle.
