Tim died Friday, September 9, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Moorcroft.
Timothy James Wagner was born the son of Robert and Brenda (Gerry) Wagner, June 29, 1989 in Newcastle, Wyoming. Tim was raised on the family ranch near Moorcroft. He loved the animals, caring for motherless calves and they all loved him in return, except maybe for one troublesome rooster. He loved his tractor and riding his dirt bike around the yard. Tim was an athlete of many sports. While attending Moorcroft Elementary he participated in Pee Wee basketball, played football on the team his dad coached until Junior High and during the summers would play baseball. When Tim was in junior high he played football, then go on to the wrestling season, continue into basketball and would finish the year with track. He had to stay busy and did so until high school when he had to choose basketball over wrestling, even playing some on the varsity team. As football season began this year he was starting on the varsity squad. Tim also managed to squeeze golf in his schedule as well. Tims summers were filled with fishing and swimming. He was disciplined about his school work and had finally earned a 4.0 grade point average this last spring. Tim was a big Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed family game night, his friends and classmates, bringing smiles and laughs to the halls at Moorcroft High School.
Tim will be missed by his parents of Moorcroft, Dad, will always chuckle remembering Tim throwing the football as hard as he could to see if he could catch it, and Mom who will miss everything about him. His sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Wesley Jone's of Sundance, Wyoming, Melissa will miss the light hearted arguments that they had and Tims persistence that he was right. Tim was anticipating the birth of his niece or nephew and taking on his new title as Uncle Tim. Brother Jeremy Wagner attending school in Laramie, remembering Tims competitive way about himself, always having to be a little bit better than Jeremy. Maternal grandparents, Ronald and Catherine Gerry of Sidney, Montana, noting that Tim was the chatterbox of the family. Also missing him dearly are numerous aunts uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, one brother Jeffrey in 1984 and one sister Stacy in 1988.
Memorial in Tims name are suggested to support Moorcroft sports programs. Donations or condolences can be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th St., Gillette, WY 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com
