Tina Marie Threefingers “Vonåhé’e” – Ceremonial Woman, 31, of Lame Deer, MT was called home by Maheo’ on September 8th, 2020.
Tina was born on June 30th, 1989 at Crow Agency, MT to Alfred Nightwalker and Judy Threefingers. She grew up in the Lame Deer area, where she would spend time with all of her beloved family and friends. In her younger years, Tina attended school at Lame Deer and graduated in 2007. In her school years Tina was known for her academic gifts. She was very knowledgeable in many subjects, especially with math. She also loved to play basketball as a Lady Star. Later Tina attended Chief Dull Knife College and would play basketball as a Lady Warrior. She was a gifted basketball player and the family loved to watch her play.
Tina loved her family and was deeply loved in return. She worked as a Homecare Provider for her mother, Judy, for fifteen years. She checked on her mom daily and always made sure she had everything she needed. Tina loved her mom, Judy, with all of her heart. Growing up, Tina was her Grandma Lillian’s helper. She learned the value of family and hard work from her grandma Lillian. She rarely left her grandma’s side, learning to cut deer meat and to cook. In her life, Tina helped everyone, no matter the circumstances and often without being asked. If anyone needed a sister or a friend, Tina was always there. She was a kind soul with a heart of gold.
She held a special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews. She loved them like they were her own children, helping to raise and nurture them. She was known as the “fun” auntie, but she could be stern when needed. Tina loved to take the kids fishing, swimming and berry picking in the summers. She was also known to put on the best birthday parties for all the family. Tina enjoyed fishing, cruising and was the “ultimate turnip hunter”. Tina at times, was a jokester and was quick to have a few laughs. Most of all she loved her Steelers, she was their
biggest fan. All of her smiles, jokes and laughter will be missed by all of us.
Tina had a special daughter of her own, Kennedy. Tina and her significant other, Jodi, raised Kennedy from birth, and loved her more than anything. They were rarely seen apart, she truly loved being a mother. Kennedy brought her much love and happiness. She will forever be Kennedy’s mom.
Tina is proceeded in death by her Grandparents, Joseph & Lillian Threefingers, Sr., Alice Bartlett, Katherine Threefingers, Jack Threefingers and Paul Stevenson, Sr. Her aunts Justina Threefingers and Iris WhistlingElk; uncle Joseph Threefingers, Jr.; cousin Diane Eagle; niece Spring Littlewhirlwind; lastly, her special cousin, sister & best friend Martika Otherbull.
