Sixxx “Toby” LaBeaux II
October 14, 2005 – March 9, 2025
Our beloved brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, friend, and, most importantly, son “Toby” began his journey across the Milky Way on March 9th, 2025. His Cheyenne name is Spotted Bird (Ve’kesohvovo’haestse), given to him by his paternal grandfather Toby Star from Oklahoma.
Sixxx “Toby” LaBeaux II was born on October 14, 2005, in the evening to Cindy Yellowman and Sixxx LaBeaux in Blanding, Utah.
“Toby,” as everyone knew him, was the “baby” of the family. He has five older siblings and numerous friends that he later adopted as his brothers, and they became a part of each other’s families. We often called him Toby Tyler, Toby Turpen, Sippy Cup (Navajo Family), Toaster, and Frodo. His friends also had other nicknames for him. IYKYK
Toby was half Navajo and Northern Cheyenne. He was born into a traditional family on his mother’s side. In his early years, he spent much time with his maternal grandfather and grandmother on their family ranch, surrounded by his cousins. He began his grade school in Lame Deer, Montana, where he graduated from high school.
Toby’s lifelong passion was always the game of baseball. He was the pitcher for the Wolves in Lame Deer, MT. This is where he met his lifelong friends Semaj (Smalls), Bryce Lone Wolf, and Cruz Glenmore during baseball. In Toby’s early years, he loved to dance at pow-wows and attend NAC meetings. He loved fishing and camping with his sister during her birthday at the 4th of July pow-wow. Toby enjoyed swimming when he could and spending time with his brothers, playing games, and listening to music. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his Baked Beans and YHB brothers.
Toby loved riding horses, especially the Shetland ponies (Star and Snowball) he shared with his two older brothers. He loved his two goldfish that he won at a carnival and named them Shiprock and Goldie. He was always proud of them and would feed them daily on his way to school.
Toby was a jokester. He would be the person to make funny faces during serious family photos. He always teased his niece Ivey and nephew Sta`shawn as he grew up with them. He taught his niece the ins and outs of high school during her freshman year while he was in his Senior year.
Toby was a kind, loving, friendly person who wasn’t shy about saying hello or making people laugh. He was selfless and generous and knew when to offer a helping hand. He loved to EAT! All the time. He was a momma’s boy who called mom when he was craving Hot wings or Fry bread. He would say, “Mom, you should make me some Indian Tacos,” she would magically have them on the menu. He constantly teased his siblings that they were taking too much of “HIS BREAD” that his mom made him.
Toby graduated from Lame Deer High School in 2024. He was very proud to have accomplished an outstanding achievement. Toby often talked about wanting to attend the Job Corps to get his welding and heavy machine operating certificate. He frequently spoke to his sister about furthering his schooling and making A LOT of money.
Toby is survived by his parents, Cindy Yellowman and Sixxx LaBeaux. His sisters Lucinda Yellowman (Isiah) and Addie Gross (Patrick Gross). His brothers Edison Whitedirt, Dre’ LaBeaux, and Adriano (Maddy) LaBeaux. His Nieces Ivey, Erin, Lauren, and nephews Sta`shawn and Mason. His maternal Aunts and uncles in Utah- Lavern, Betty, Carm, Eveline, Herman, Steven, Tom Jr., Martin, James, and Horman. His cousins that he grew up with in Utah- were Cornelia, Lavina, Dalene, Shaycie, Warren, Sabin, Katlyn, Shelby, John John. His adopted families are Lucy Simpson, Robert Simpson, Max & Lavanda Hiwalker, Ernest Little Bird family, and his Baked Beans & YHB brothers.
Toby was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Bessie Yellowman; his paternal grandma, Beula Sioux Calf; his paternal grandpa, Clinton Birdhat; and Cousin Sebastian Yellowman and Casey Whitedirt.
Toby comes from a large family and was loved by many. Please forgive us if we forgot to mention anyone in our time of grief.

Our deepest desire
Is for you to live. To breathe, to smile at the sun. To dance, to help, discover, wonder, enjoy. To learn, to experience joy like you’ve never felt before. Be hugged and hug back. Sorrow is knowing you left. I’ll make music for you and remember how funny you are. You had a spark, ya know? I saw it. It made me happy. Travel safe. Greet the ancestors.

Sorry that Toby didn’t get to finish his goal to be a welder and heavy equipment operator. I think he would have been good at it. He had the desire to do that.
May God be with him and family.

I’m so sorry about Toby. I found a scripture on JW.org that I like to share, Acts 24:15, “there is going to be a resurrection,” I wish your family the very best for the future.

There is no way to express enough sorrow at the loss of this fine young man. He brightened so many others during his short stay.
