Toby Whetzel, age 76, of Miles City

March 24, 1945 – March 19, 2022

Toby Ray Whetzel, 76, of Miles City, passed away March 19, 2022 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Toby was born in Harrisonburg, VA to David William & Sallie Louise Whetzel (See), on March 24, 1945. Toby was the youngest of 8 siblings.

In 1986, while dancing the night away, Toby met the love of his life, Delores Jenkins.

Toby was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He worked as an overland truck driver most of his life, working for various trucking companies.

He was proceeded in death by two brothers Clifford & Junior and 1 sister Rannie.

Toby is survived by his wife of 35 years, Delores Whetzel, of Miles City; Siblings Vesta (Delm) Miller of West Virginia, Frank (Norma) Whetzel of Virginia, Ruth Spitler of Virginia and James (Mary) Whetzel of Virginia. 4 Stepchildren; Patricia (Rick) Rovito of Florida, Thomas (Svenja) Wagner of AZ, Michael (Brenda) Wagner of AZ and William Brock of Miles City.

    Deloris I’m saddened to hear about Toby’s passing. I will forever remember helping you guys when I worked at Reynolds Grocery….he’d always make sure I got a hug and a smile every time he saw me and would always keep me informed of how you and him were doing! He will be greatly missed and sending you many hugs!

    i really liked toby we talked all the time when we saw each other my mom and i are really going to miss him, he was a really great guy to have know. Sorry for your loss Deloris and family take care hold on to the memories.
