Tracy Ann (Sorlien) Kiel passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 65 with her loving husband by her side. Tracy was born in Miles City, MT on June 25, 1960 to Sharon and Gerhard Sorlien.
Tracy met Tim and it was instant love. They were married on September 16, 1978 and raised
three children, TJ, Tara, and Travis. Dad was a rancher and mom embraced the country life.
She planted beautiful gardens every year and would always have so many tomatoes which she canned with her mother and loved doing it. She also would cook big meals for all the shipping and branding crews out on the ranch.
In 2001, Tim was hurt and they had to move into town. Mom couldn’t sit still so she started
helping out at Pearl’s Daycare and loved taking care of all the kids. She then went to work for the Town Pump Corporation and loved it too. She wanted to try something different and started working at Steadman’s Ace Hardware where she would put freight away and stock shelves. She made a lot of lifelong friends while working there. She went on to detailing cars at Notbohm Motors and she made those cars shine inside and out. When she couldn’t detail cars any longer, she went back to Town Pump to be the grocery merchandise manager and worked there until her death.
Tracy leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Tim, her children, TJ (Tana), Tara, and
Travis (Brittany). Her grandchildren, Eli (Janna), Sinae (Joey), Ashtin, Mikkenna, Tavyn,
Bryten, and her great grandchildren Annamarie, Graycen, Laken, Kaisen, her mother Sharon, her sisters, Marcheta, Roxie (Pat), and Krystal (Al). Along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gerhard Sorlien, In-Laws Joe and Pearl Kiel.

Sharon, Tim and families,
Please know this was such a shock to me. I would run into Tracy at all the places she was working at when I would come to town. We always got a chance to catch up then. I remember when her family only lived a few houses away from me on North Third. We all played together back then. Tracy and I was in the same class. I can tell you this world is a little dimmer with Tracy gone and heaven is a little brighter with her there. I know that doesn’t help as loosing a love is so hard. Tracy will be dearly missed as everyone just loved her. Please know your all in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to all!

Tim, Sharon, Marcheta, Roxie, Kristal and all of Tracy’s family and friends, I am so very sorry to hear of Tracy’s passing. I still think of her as that cute, sweet and spunky younger sister of Marcheta’s, who I always loved having her around with us. She had the most adorable giggle that was definitely contagious , and could always get everyone else laughing! I remember how proud she was to be a Mama of her beautiful baby boy, TJ. She was always “lit up” like a beam of sunshine, and that part of her too, was also contagious. The world lost a wonderful soul, but heaven has a brighter glow about it now. God bless you Tracy♥️🌈❣️
