Travis Lund left this world and began his journey on January 6th due to complications from Muscular Dystrophy that he had lived with for many years. His last month was the fight of his life. He never gave up but he got tired.
Travis was born on April 22, 1975 to Guy and Doreen (Carlson) Lund. 3 years later he was blessed with a little brother that was always his best friend, partner in mischief. While growing up Travis developed a true love for animals and never met a cat or dog he didn’t love. He was fortunate enough to be raised on a small acreage where he had cats, dogs, rabbits, pigs and misc. other animals to keep him occupied.
After Guy and Doreen divorced, Grandma and Grandpa were there to assist with his upbringing. He had a special bond with them that lasted his and their entire lives.
Travis was a spiritual man and truly believed in his God and the afterlife. He proved this several days before his passing when he saw his mother, cousins, uncle and Grandma come for him. He promised he would try to come with them.
Travis lived in Miles City, Glasgow and Dickinson, N.D. He attended school in Miles and Dickinson and graduated from CCDHS where he developed many lifetime friendships.
After graduating, Travis attempted several occupations but did his best when it came to minor electronics troubleshooting. He could figure out how to make many things work that just took experimentation and crossed fingers.
Later in life, Travis became a real caretaker. He helped Grandma and Grandpa on a regular basis and enjoyed doing it. Of course, whenever he went to their place he was blessed with a meal for whatever he did that day. Then he became his cousin Leroy’s companion and caretaker. Travis was with Leroy until the time of Leroy’s passing just as Covid was starting. Travis was unable to do much during Covid but stayed in contact daily.
About 16 years ago Lori came into his life via her and his dads marriage. With this Travis gained a new confidant (Travis would confide in Lori things he would never tell his dad) and five new siblings and their spouses and eventually 13 Nieces and Nephews and he loved it.
Travis was preceded in death by his Mother, Grandma (Lorraine Lund), Grandpa (George Lund}, Grandmother Edith Ebert, Aunt Maxine Leatherberry, Uncle Al Leatherberry, cousins Leroy and Dixie Leatherberry, Uncles Carl Carlson and Claude Carlson as well as his Aunt Debbie Carlson.
Travis is survived by his Dad Guy and stepmom Lori, brother Chad, sister Donika Schrauger, step siblings Brandi (Jeremy) Lang, Dave (Katie) Freolich, Amanda Jadamali, Cassie (Nick) Horob and Amber (Dustin) Hodgson as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.

Guy and Chad I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Travis. My brother Chris and I lost touch with people after mom had moved us to Dickinson. I remember mom had visited the DSU campus before we moved. Mom had contacted others from Miles City before we moved. We visited you guys at the family housing apartments. Guy helped mom with info about the apartments. My brother Chris and I would hang out with Chad and Travis occasionally on the playground at Garfield. Chad you and Travis were always close just as Chris and I are. Travis was the kindest, caring person. Our hearts and prayers are with you all.
