Internment: will follow in the family lot of the Forsyth Cemetery
Trudy Alice (Bickel) MacLeod, age 61, of Forsyth passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Billings.
Trudy was born on April 1, 1947 in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Ferdinand H. and Alice (Spracklin) Bickel. She attended schools in Hillside and Miles City. Trudy spent the first years of her marriage working with John on the MacLeod sheep ranch north of Forsyth. Later, she worked on area farms. Trudy was actively involved as a 4-H leader with the Howard Ag 4-H Club. After her children left home, Trudy attended Miles Community College and Montana State University-Billings, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting.
Trudy enjoyed her animals throughout her life, most recently the family poodle Afterthought and the cat Bone's. Trudy loved a good game of cards with the family and puzzle games.
She is survived by her husband John of Forsyth, her mother
Alice Spracklin Bickel of Lisbon, ND, her son, John Jr. and his wife Daile of Rifle, CO, daughter Katrina and her husband Andrew of Cedaredge, CO, three grandchildren: Spencer, Shea and Connor of Rifle, CO, her brothers: Amos and his wife Jan of Lisbon, ND, Randy and his wife Deb of Culbertson, MT; a sister, Iva Beth Smathers of Helena, MT; numerous nieces and nephews.
Trudy was preceded in death by her father Ferdinand Bickel and her brother F.H. Jr. Bickel.
