Tsista Renee Redcherries was born to Mildred Fay Redcherries and Van Black at Crow Agency, Montana on September 29, 1982. She went on to be with our Holy Creator Ma’Heo on September 26, 2025. Tsista attended Lame Deer Public Schools where she made many friends that she kept throughout her lifetime. She shared many good memories she had with Cory Bullcoming, Ebony Spottedelk, Coral Spottedelk and other classmates she shared crazy times with. Tsista also known as Big Sis, a nickname given to her by her little brother she adored so much, Ralph Redfox; believed in hard work. She held varies jobs such as a Home Health Aid, Hospitality Professional and her last job, she worked as a Front-end Associate for the Lame Deer Store.
Tsista’s eldest child was born to her in 2002, Sotaae. She then met and married Aaron Wilson to whom she had four daughters, Ashley, Aaralyn, Alluradanyn, and Naevia. She was very proud of her daughters and spoke about them constantly. Tsista had many stories of the funny and cute things her daughters did. She expressed how much she loved her girls and wished her circumstances were different. Tsista talked about how she would do many things differently.
Tsista was involved in a very horrific vehicle accident that left her a quadriplegic in September of 2016. Her life changed dramatically, and she wasn’t able to do the many things that she wanted to with her life. Since her accident she sought out our Holy Creator God Ma’Heo. She made it a point to establish a relationship with Ma’Heo’. Prayer became an important part of her life. Even though Tsista was very limited, she enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, Keeshawn and Ophelia. Little Keeshawn would call his grandma “auntie”.” Hey auntie!! Can I look at your phone!!” and Tsista thought it was the funniest thing. She’d laugh and have the biggest smile. She loved how onery Ophelia is and nicknamed her Ophie. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Tsista loved and appreciated good company. She adopted sisters, brothers, aunties, uncles, and daughters as she took as her own. Tsista formed deep relationships with each of the people she adopted and took as her own. As a fluent Cheyenne speaker she understood how important these relationships are. She wanted each and every one of you to know that you are loved and cherished by her. Tsista loved her younger siblings to no end she would say. She shared a special bond with her little brother Ralph. She expressed how he was her day one, how they always had fun no matter what and if they were out and about, she would find him. She’d say, he’s our chaos.
Tsista Rene Redcherries, Big Sis, leaves behind a large family. She’s on her way to the next camp where she’ll met up with her mom Mustard, grandpa Russel who she loved and missed, her aunty Jo and all the people who have gone on that she missed. She talked about the Cheyenne camp waiting for her and wondered how it would be over there. If we miss anyone please forgive us as we have a large family.
