In Memory Of

Tyrel Fraser

Family Receiving Friends: Monday, December 21, 2009 beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm at the Allan Rowland Gym he will then be transported to the Small Ranch in Birney where he will lay until the service Tuesday night through the services Wednesday and return to the Small ranch.

Wake: Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the St. Labre Gymnasium in Ashland.

Funeral Mass: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at the St. Labre Gymnasium

Burial: services will conclude at the Small Family Ranch in Birney, MT. Dinner will follow the Burial at the St. Labre Catholic cafeteria.

Tyrel Jay Fraser (Buffalo Wallow- his Cheyenne name given to him by his grandfather Lee Lonebear), age 20, of Lame Deer, MT passed away tragically with one of his best buddies Dean Harris in a car accident on his birthday Friday, December 18, 2009.

Tyrel was born in Crow Agency on December 18, 1989. He was raised a majority of his life by his grandparents Clinton and Jackie Small on Pawnee Creek, where he will be laid to rest for all eternity. Tyrel was proud of his Northern Cheyenne heritage and Sioux ancestry.

Tyrel attended school at St. Labre and graduated from Lame Deer High School in 2008. He enjoyed playing basketball throughout his high school career. He was an avid horseman obtaining his skills from his mother and grandfather. He loved ranching and spending time with his family & friends and had a passion for music. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on the Tongue River where he grew up. Another of his favorite pastimes was attending basketball games with his dad and helping his little nephews shoot baskets at half-time.He was always in good spirits and was a loving, respectful and kind-hearted man. The love of his life was his little daughter, Lalisieonna. He was always willing to give a hug and kiss to everyone, especially his grandma Jackie and Grandpa Clinton. Tyrel was a little over protective of his sisters and he was definitely his mothers boss. Tyrel will be in our hearts forever and his memories will live on.

Tyrel is survived by his parents: Jay Fraser & Davetta Archambeau; his companion Athena Whiteman, and daughter Lalisieonna Fraser; his biological father Horace Small Jr.; 6 brothers: Clay Fraser, Clinton Ross (Misty) Fitzpatrick, Skyler Small, Baby Dave Spang, Josiah Small and Doc Wiley Small; 6 sisters: Dari Fraser, Chani Fraser, Janea Fraser (Ross),Taezha Small, Erlyse Small and Cheyloah Small. Nieces and nephews: Christian, Lillian, Lola, Jacobi, Kymani, Houston and Clinton Ross Jr. Grandparents: Clinton and Jackie Small; Lee and Juanita Lonebear; Horace and Mabel Small. Aunts: MaeBelle Archambeau, Bonnie Archambeau, Sheryl (Jason) Lawrence, Sharon (Allen) Small Fisher, Shelly (Bo) Vocu, Suzanne (Tom) Trusler, Marsha Small, Dixie (Dan) Garfield, Yolanda (Stan) Fraser-Hawley, Faithe (JR) Merrick, Bridgette Grandchamp, Melissa (Dale) Lonebear, Chas (Fonz) Robinson,Emily (Gilbert) Fraser, Latisha Fraser, Georgiann (Bruce) Kellum, Jennie Lou Small, Gail Small, Carla Small, Wanda Small and Geri Small. Uncles: David (Deanna) Small, Steve Small, Robert Lonebear, Kevin Lonebear, Clifford Small, Clayton Small, Sr.,Cordell Small, Perry (Anne) Fraser, and Jerry Fraser.

Special friends include: Shawn & Peggy Fredericks, Arnie & Keene Bends, D.J. Bixby, Rowdy Alexander, Bernie Bahr, Preston Gray, Jade Littlebird, Kori Lonebear, Kevin Little Bear, Colton Small, Alfonso Spang, Clint Gonzales, Jenny Pipe, and Terry Plainbull. Extended families include the Robinson, Spang, Fisher, Two Two, Spotted Elk, Woodenlegs, and Rondeau families. As well as, the Big Horn, Weinberger, Atkinson, Christian, Cantrell and Crow Belt of the Fort Peck Reservation.
