Valarie Courtney Bearchum, Me’eoo’e, “Stands In SIght Woman,” named after her
grandmother, Grace Strangeowl of Birney, was born on April 9, 1997 in Crow Agency, MT to
Sonja Headswift-Bearchum and Tyrone Bearchum Sr.
Maheo took our sweet bundle of a Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Wife, Sister,
Cousin, Auntie, and Bestfriend to walk with Our Creator from her home in Hardin, MT on
Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019.
Valarie attended St. Labre Catholic Indian School from Kindergarten through her school
years, acceded in all her classes, and graduated with the St. Labre Class of 2015. Valarie loved Art, Music, Band, Pep Band, hanging out with her friends, and spending quality time with her family. Some of her hobbies included drawing, painting, listening to music, cruising with friends, playing video games, watching movies and T.V with loved ones, going to concerts, and playing with her boys. She was a Trombone player of the St. Labre Pep-Band for all four years of high school and enjoyed traveling to tournaments with other pep-band members. Valarie played Volleyball for two years. A part of the Art club for two years. Played basketball for one year.
Valarie was a very intelligent person with a heart of gold, and will be sincerely missed by her Husband, Parents, Siblings, Sons, Grandparents, and Friends.
Val then attended Chief Dull Knife College for General Studies, but showed a love for
animals and expressed an interest in becoming a Veterinarian and joining the U.S. Navy. While
pursuing these dreams, she was in customer service, a Lifeguard, and a Donations Clerk at St.
Labre.
Valarie began a relationship with the Love of her life, Lane Redwing on December 1st,
- As their love flourished, her motherhood began with Lane’s first-born son, Raiden James Redwing. After a year and a half, she gave birth to Kyzar Benjamin Redwing on March 23, 2018. She had an absolute passion for her boys, and strived to be a greater mother every day.
Valarie was the best mother that her boys could have ever asked for.
Valarie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marie (Fighting Bear) and
Hurbert (Happy Herb) Bearchum and maternal grandparents Regina (Longroach/Roundstone)
and James Killsnight, Sr, and numerous relatives.
