Valinda worked at various jobs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and Grandchildren and collecting pictures. Valinda was very kind, outgoing and loved to laugh. Valinda always kept in touch with her family back home on the "Rez" to let them know she was OK and not to worry. She was a very strong woman with a Heart of Gold that would help anyone that needed her Assistance. She never turned away a friend or Stranger. She always kept her head held high and overcame any obstacal that she came across. Valinda was a very Dedicated Denver Broncos Fan.
Valinda married Philbert Killsnight in 1981. They made their home in Lame Deer - Westside, later moved to Billings and then on to Denver. They later Divorced...Where at this time Valinda Continued to Raise her two Step Daughters as her own. They grew to understand that there was that very special bond they shared as Mother-Daughter, They considered Valinda as their Mom and Valinda considered them as her daughters. No one could break the bond they shared.
She later met her Sweetheart Jackie Herrera. They were married and made their home in Delta, Colorado. They had many friends whom they cared for dearly. They were always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. They were very outgoing and loved to laugh. Valinda lost her Sweetheart on January 1, 2011 in a tragic accident and almost lost her life at this time also. She loved him very much and continued to keep his memory alive up until her passing. They are now reunited in Eternity.
Valinda is proceeded in death by her parents, Robert Pine Sr. and Naomi Swallow, Her Grandparents, John Swallow and Marie Big Beaver Swallow. Her Husband Jackie Herrera, Special Daughter Dominee Killsnight, Brother; Dwayne Pine and Robert Pine Jr., One sister; Roberta Medicine Top and Neices; Jessica Pine-Roper and Valinda Katherine Killsnight.
Valinda is Survived by One Special daughter; Chelsey Killsnight from Denver, CO, Sisters; Laretha (Marvin Sr.) Killsnight and Rebekah (Alan Sr.) Blackwolf , who is currently the Sacred Hat Keeper and Maybelline Big Back. Brothers; Mervin Pine and Paul Threefingers Jr. Neices; Naomi (Terry) Hiwalker, LaShawna, Cheyenne and Marlee Killsnight, Alannah and Nia Blackwolf, Shandi Cuellar, Shmega, Shcora, Stephanie and Shea Medicine top. Nephews; Emmanuel Pine, Sr., Morning Star (MJ) and Marvin Jr. Killsnight, Devon (Victoria) Red Cloud, Alonzo and Alan Jr. Blackwolf, Christopher and Robert Pine III, Isiah and Edward Medicine Top III and Jonathan Threefingers. Grandchildren; Felipe Sanchez, Carlito Killsnight, Angelo and Xavier Trujillo of Denver, Co., Alisia Garcia, Esperanza and Mia Rose Perez of Denver, CO., Emmanuel Pine II, Casaja Pine, Kobe, Koda and Klyde Hiwalker, Amelia Shylee Threefingers, Skylan Lightning-Granados, Kiauna Killsnight, Devon Jr. and Oliver Red Cloud, Mikeya Pine, Josiah, Isiah, Michael Jr., Azaria, Amiyah and Kiana Roper, Dustin and Autumn Bomboy, Noemi and Emiliano Cuellar, Isaac and Kyndra Pine. Aunts; Frances Swallow from Busby, Gloria St. Clair from Ft. Washkie and Flora Swallow from Riverton, Wy. Her relatives and extended families including the Swallows, Pines, Fingernail, Spotted Elks, Bradys, Bear Quivers, Killsnights, Wick, Sanchez, Medicine Bulls, Woodenthighs.
