Graveside Services for Velma Beck of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the Rozet Cemetery in Rozet, Wyoming with Pastor Mark Jervis of the First Baptist Church of Gillette, Wyoming officiating.
Interment will follow the graveside services at the Rozet Cemetery.
Velma Beck, age 76, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at her home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Velma June Beck was born the daughter of Chester Carl and Olga Jaunita (Ward) Coughlin on April 17, 1927 in Mills, Wyoming, where she was reared and educated. On December 16, 1950, she married Larry William Beck Sr. in Hardin, Montana. To this union seven children were born. Velma spent her life caring for her family and her home, doting on those she loved. She was a person who enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved to visit with family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with her animals. She was a great cook and loved being in the outdoors, especially when she was gardening.
Velma is survived by her husband, Larry Beck of Gillette, Wyoming; her three sons: Larry Beck Jr. of Sparks, Nevada; A.B. Beck of Winnemucca, Nevada; Corey Beck of Rozet, Wyoming; her three daughters: Darla Beck of Rozet, Wyoming and Linda Leroy and Carla Urban, both of Gillette, Wyoming, one brother Harry Lee Thompson of Kansas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Donald Paul Beck; and one sister Wanda Mae Hills.
