Vera Wood Fadhl, age 92, passed away on May 9, 2010 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth MT.

Vera was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1917 in Bridger, Montana the second daughter of Charles A. Wood and Florence Rife Wood.Vera attended schools at Harrison, Reed Point, moving to Forsyth as a Junior, graduating on May 17, 1935. While at Reed Point she played girls basketball and missed that upon moving to Forsyth as they did not have a team.May 18, 1935, Vera was united in marriage to George J. Fadhl. The young couple eloped and were married in Miles City, MT. Vera and George lived on farms in Cartersville and Hammond Valley before moving to the farm near Castle Rock. When George and Vera retired they moved to Harlowton MT. After Georges death in December 1983, Vera decided to move back to Forsyth in the fall of 1984. Vera was known for her sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her family members were recipients of many of her wonderful sweaters, hats, mittens, afghans and Christmas decorations. Vera was a wonderful cook, especially sweets. She learned to make many special German dishes from her mother-in-law, Apple Strudel was a favorite. Vera was also known for her beautiful flowers and the large gardens she was able to raise all on dry land. Vera was a Sunday school teacher, 4-H Leader, and a member of Homemakers Club, LWML, as well as a baptized and confirmed member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Forsyth.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, George, mother and father, mother-in-law and father-in-law, sisters, Viola, Vivian, Lillian, and Charlene, Sister-in-law Barbara Schulenberg and nephew Dan
Pickering.

She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn (Hugh) Broadus, Nancy (John) Wernke, Georgia (David) Even and Debra (Peter) Nolan. Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren: Alice (Tate) Nation, Paden and Ben; Jarrod Broadus, Jamie, Blayne, and Taylor, Carla Morgan, Colby, Kaylee and Kiernan; Paul (Rita) Wernke, Joshua and John; Cathy (Shane) Swandal, Jessica and Nathan; Jason (Kristi) Even and Paige; Jennifer (Ryan) Roling, Abby, Sam and Ross; Aaron (Naomi) Even, Dominic, Delaney, and Kennedy; Matthew (Kayla) Even and Mariedith. Step Grandchildren Lara Lee, Sherry Lynn, and Peter Nolan III and five step great grandchildren. Special nieces and nephews, Barbara Kuckler, Millie Boardman, Dorothy Minder, Margie Mize, Arlo Pickering and Andy Schulenberg; and sister Dorothy Williams
