Verne Kenneth Larimore, age 86 of Terry, passed away on December 23, 2014 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
Kenneth was born on March 28, 1928 in Clarksburg, Missouri. He was the son of Marsh & Elvira Larimore. He moved to Montana early in life and worked as a ranch hand. He worked for Cuttings Sheet Metal for a period of time in Miles City. On June 8, 1952 he married the love of his life, Mary Alice Whitcher in Miles City. They moved to Terry where they have made their home ever since. He worked for the Milwaukee Rail Road from 1969 until he retired in 1989. Kenneth loved hunting, fishing and passed that love to his children. Most of all he was an avid gardener. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fallon, MT and a Boy Scout leader for many years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Mary of 62 years; his children: LaVerne (Val) Larimore, Joseph (Corrine) Larimore and Carol (Terry) Grant; his sister in law Jo (Gary) Acton; a sister in law Shirley Bennett; his grandchildren: Scott, Mandy, Skye, Tara, Rory & Kelsey; and his great grandchildren: Koru, Sego, Cameron & Mackenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents Marsh & Elvira; his brothers: Jim, Harold and Dwight; his sisters: Juanita, Wanda & Norma; and his half-brothers Jerry & Bobby.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2014 from 1p.m. to 5 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry, MT. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry, MT. Interment will follow at a later date.
