Vicki Rae Wuest, age 66, of Miles City passed away at Advanced Care Hospital in Billings, MT on March 5, 2016 with her family by her side.
Vicki Rae Nolan was born on November 6, 1949 in Miles City, MT the only child of Raymond L. and Jean L. (Viall) Nolan. Vicki grew up and attended school in Rosebud. During her younger years Vicki lived with numerous family members and friends while her dad served in the Army and her mother attended college. Vicki graduated from Rosebud High School in 1968. After high school she began her college career at Miles Community College before transferring to Montana State University where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1973. In 1972 Vicki met the love of her life Donald Wuest and on August 7, 1973 the two were married in Billings, MT. They lived there a short period of time before moving to Miles City where Vicki continued her career in Nursing. Together Donald and Vicki raised their two daughters Rayetta and LaShanda. Vicki continued working as a nurse until she decided that after 33 years working she could finally retire.
Vicki was an avid reader and would sometimes read up to three books in a week. She enjoyed cooking and always loved a challenge if someone wanted to try and outcook her. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren which were her pride and joy in life. She was the glue of the family and that held everyone together.
Vicki is survived by her two daughters, Rayetta Wuest and LaShanda “Shawna” Wright both of Miles City; four grandchildren, Damon Wright, Koby Wright, Mikiya Wright and Nolan Schmidt all of Miles City; one aunt, Donna-Mae Graff and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her parents, Raymond and Jean Nolan.
