Victor Byers Emeney of Miles City, passed away on April 16, 2018 at his home after a long term illness.
Vic was born on February 20, 1960 in Beverly, Massachusetts to Victor L. Emeney and Eleanor F. (Brennan) Emeney. He attended schools in Beverly, MA and graduated in Barnstead, NH. He served in the US Army in the Special Forces. He met his wife Diane (Blanchard) Emeney in February 1981 and they were married on July 4, 1981. They lived in Concord, NH for the first six years of their marriage while he was employed as a State certified welder. On June 29, 1987 they loaded up their little family and moved to Miles City, MT to start a new adventure. He loved hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was an avid NE Patriots fan and somehow got his wife to love football too. He enjoyed life to the fullest, was never afraid to venture forth and take risks to achieve his goals. One of his proudest moments was the day he and his wife got baptized by Grace Bible Church in 1999. He became a true man of God and used his faith to inspire others. His passion for life, his ability to make everyone laugh, and to continually add other members to his family because he had so much love in him made him unforgettable.
He held many jobs in his life and excelled at all of them. He was a Welder, a Heavy Equipment Operator, a Landscaper, an Artist, a Tree Surgeon, a Breeder of Quarterhorses and lastly a Conductor with the BNSF Railroad. His family was everything to him and his thoughts in his later days were not of his health but of his children and wife, that they would be taken care of. It’s the kind of man he was. He was a fighter and overcame many obstacles in the past six years with his health. He did not leave this earth until his beloved wife told him everything was taken care of and that he had done well. He is irreplaceable and Heaven got a wonderful new member while Earth lost one. There is not enough room for me to put all that he was, he was so many things. But he was well loved.
Victor is survived by his four children: Starr Emery of Billings, MT; David Emeney of Miles City, MT; Jana Emeney of Miles City, MT; and Kristen (Emeney) Brekke of Miles City, MT, his sister Jennifer Emeney of Three Forks, MT, his mother Eleanor (Emeney) Boyd and step-father Rodney Boyd of Barnstead, NH, 14 biological and six honorary grandchildren, all well-loved, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved wife Diane (Blanchard) Emeney as well as his much loved Uncle Jack Emeney as well as many honorary members of our family added in over the years and his nephew Jesse Blanchard who was a great help to him in his later years and also well loved. He was preceded in death by his father Lionel F. Emeney, sister Pamela Emeney and Dana Blanchard, who was his friend as well as his brother in law.

I did not get to meet this great man and it saddens me greatly. I feel like I knew him through the many wonderful and amazing things I’ve been told about him and I know that we would have been great friends. Never having had a father I would have loved to have been able to have him as a role model and father figure and to call this loving man dad!
