Burial: will follow in the St. Labre Cemetery in Ashland
Victor Michael Woodenthigh, Sr., 51, passed away on November 10, 2009 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Victor was born in Miles City, MT on December 4, 1957 to Teddy Woodenthigh and Eva Whitecrane Woodenthigh.Victor was raised at camps in Ashland, MT. Victor received his education at St. Labre and later received his G.E.D. He was employed at the St. Labre Cafeeteria and he was a mechanic, construction worker and ranch-hand throughout the reservation.
Victor met the love of his life Kay Spang, they spent 20 years together. To this union the following children were born, Kimberly, Victor Jr., Carolyn, Christy, Jodi and Shannon. Two children whom he raised as his own, Aleda and Wiljo Spang.Victor enjoyed cruising around and listening to music, hanging out with his special friends - Skunky and Georgia, spending time with his children and grandchildren as well as visiting with family members. He was very generous when his family came to visit him. Victor enjoyed camping at Ashland with his camp crew Jeanette, Jughead and Randall.
Victor is survived by the love of his life, Kay Spang, his children, Kimberly (Florris) Medicine Bull of Lame Deer, Carolyn Spang of Lame Deer, Victor Jr. (Ryhal) of Muddy Creek, Christy, Jodi and Shannon Woodenthigh of Lame Deer, and Aleda (Fred) and Wiljo Spang of Lame Deer, 9 grandchildren Ashley, Alicia and Michael Medicine Bull, Freddy and Fredericka Blackwolf, Wiljo Jr., Chauncey, Chasity and Chloee Oldman, Brother, Melvin Woodenthigh, Sr., Sisters, Annie (James) Bement, Clara Harris, Theda Foote, Germaine (Monte) Haugen, Iola (Boog) Woodenthigh, Sonja McArthur. Nieces - Myra, Malinda, Kateri, Lacie, Pamela, Lavonda, Rosanna, Tedi, Bianca, Nephews Jim, Keith, Mike, Robbie, Harry, Steve, Lyle, Elton, Brice, Dewey, Huey, Melvin Jr., David, Floyd, Aaron, Levi, Preston, Cleveland, whom he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Teddy and Eva, 1 Brother and 3 Sisters.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, especially Father Pascal and Charles Little Old Man for their support and prayers.
